MetaCentrum - the Czech computational grid
Abstract
MetaCentrum was established in 1996 as the union of supercomputing centers
of three large universities, and has grown over time to the current state
of serving the whole Czech academic community with 15 computational
clusters consisting of 290 machines with 1500 CPUs located in six
geographical locations. The talk will present the past, present and future
of this computational grid, which provides a unified user interface to
heterogeneous resources thanks to technologies including AFS and Kerberos.
